A pair of goals from the Hollamon sisters gave the Terps their fourth ranked win of the season.

IOWA CITY, IA — The No. 12 Terps (8-4, 4-1 Big Ten) took to the road for a ranked battle with the No. 10 Iowa Hawkeyes (7-3, 1-2 Big Ten) and emerged with one of their biggest wins of the season, 2-1.

The first half was a tale of two quarters as Iowa controlled the possession battle for the first 15 minutes before the Terps tallied eight shots in the second quarter. Both defenses remained stout as Alyssa Klebasko posted five of her eight total saves in the scoreless opening half.

Iowa's Lieve van Kessel finally broke the ice in the 41st minute, scoring on a corner after an initial Klebasko save. Minutes later, Jordyn Hollamon evened the match on a great feed from Maci Bradford.

Maryland took its first lead early in the fourth quarter on Josie Hollamon's fourth goal of the year on a corner. Both Bradford and Annemijn Klijnhout assisted on her timely goal.

The Terps held on and fought off several late pushes from the Hawkeyes to earn their fourth ranked win of the season and make a huge statement in the loaded Big Ten Conference.

How it Happened:
1st Quarter:

Iowa recorded the first two shots of the day in the 14th minute, but Klebasko made a pair of early saves.
The Hawkeyes attempted a duo of corners in the closing seconds, but the Terps fended them both off with a block and another Klebasko save.
Maryland defended five total shots in the first quarter in a scoreless frame.

2nd Quarter:

Jordyn Hollamon recorded the Terps' first shot in the 16th minute.
Maryland was awarded its first corner in the 16th minute.
The Terps held off a Hawkeyes attack on a corner in the 17th minute.
Klebasko made her fourth save on another corner in the 17th minute.
Maryland attempted a corner in the 24th minute.
The Terps outshot Iowa 8-4 in a scoreless second quarter as the two teams took a 0-0 tie into the break.

3rd Quarter:

Klebasko made her sixth save in the 31st minute.
Iowa was awarded a corner in the 31st minute, prompting another Klebasko save.
AJ Eyre, Ellie Goldstein and Callie Rogers each put up shots on a scoring chance in the 38th minute.
Maryland's flurry of shots continued in the 39th minute with a pair of shots from Jordyn Hollamon and an attempt from Brinkley Eyre.
Iowa scored on a penalty corner in the 41st minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Jordyn Hollamon (6) scored in the 44th minute from Bradford (7).
Both teams tallied seven shots and a goal in the third frame.

4th Quarter:

Maryland was awarded its fifth and sixth corners in the 48th minute.
Josie Hollamon scored on a corner in the 48th minute to put the Terps ahead on assists by Bradford (8) and Klijnhout (2).
Maryland fought off an Iowa corner in the 49th minute.
Klebasko made her ninth save on the Hawkeyes' 11th corner in the 50th minute.
Iowa made a pair of impressive saves to keep the Terps' lead at one in the 52nd minute.
Iowa attempted its 12th corner in the 55th minute.
