
Riegger, Gregware Lead Terps at Quail Valley

VERO BEACH, FL -- Junior Emil Riegger and sophomore Emil Riegger both tied for eighth to lead the Maryland men's golf team at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational at the Quail Valley Golf & River Club Tuesday in Vero Beach, Fla.
Both Riegger and Gregware earned scores of 207, which was nine strokes under par. Riegger went 71-67-69 with 15 birdies. He parred or birdied 50 of the 54 holes in the event. This is his highest finish of the season and he has finished in the top 20 of all four events this fall.
Gregware went 70-68-69 with 15 birdies as well. He also parred or birded 50 of 54 holes. His score of 207 set a new collegiate career low, five strokes better than his previous career low of 212.
Freshman Cade Kriscunas shot a score of 222 (76-74-72), which was +6. He racked up nine birdies. Sophomore Benjamin Siriboury earned a score of 223 (78-72-73), which was +7, with eight birdies and an eagle.
Freshman Griffin Barke shot a 224 (74-73-77), which was +8, with eight birdies.
As a team, the Terrapins earned a score of 854 (291-280-283), which was -10. The Terps beat Big Ten opponents Indiana and Penn State.
