No. 11 Terps Cap Regular Season With 4-0 Win Over Northeastern

Maryland honored four seniors and scored a quartet of goals in its 10th win of the season.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland wrapped up its regular season with a 4-0 win over Northeastern (9-8, 3-2 CAA) on Senior Day on Sunday morning. The No. 11 Terps (10-7, 5-3 Big Ten) used a flurry of corners and scoring chances to claim their sixth shutout victory of the season. 

Maddie Vasilios got the scoring started in the fifth minute, burying her second goal of the season to put Maryland ahead 1-0 in the opening corner. Brinkley Eyre earned her first-career assist on the early goal. The lead doubled in the second on a goal from Josie Hollamon's fifth goal of the season on a Maryland corner. Jordyn Hollamon added her seventh goal of the season early in the fourth quarter and Maya Everett scored her first minutes later to ice the Maryland win. Alyssa Klebasko had another impressive morning in goal as she recorded her 17th-career shutout and sixth of 2025. Her defense was incredible in front of her, only allowing two shots in the second half. 

The Terps ended their regular season with a dominant victory on a day where they honored their four seniors. Maryland will head to Bloomington, Indiana, as the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. How it Happened:
1st Quarter:
  • The Huskies drew the day's first corner in the fifth minute and Fleur Knopert blocked the shot.
  • Vasilios (2) scored in the fifth minute of play on an assist from Eyre (1) to put the Terps ahead 1-0.
  • Klebasko made her first save on a Northeastern shot in the ninth minute.
  • A Knopert just missed in the 14th minute.
  • Maryland was awarded its first corner in the 15th minute. 
  • Both teams tallied two shots in the opening frame. 
2nd Quarter:
  • The Terps drew a corner in the 20th minute.
  • Josie Hollamon (5) scored on an assist from Annemijn Klijnhout (4) on the corner as Maryland doubled its lead. 
  • Ella Gaitan had a shot blocked in the 24th minute.
  • Northeastern made a save on an Ellie Goldstein shot in the 28th minute. 
  • Maryland outshot the Huskies 9-2 in the first half and took a 2-0 lead into the break.
3rd Quarter:
  • Maryland drew a pair of corners in the 31st minute. 
  • The Terps nearly scored on another corner in the 36th minute, but Northeastern made a timely save. 
  • Maryland's ninth corner of the match came in the 38th minute and provided the Terps another scoring opportunity. 
  • The Huskies made a save on an Eyre shot in the 40th minute. 
  • Northeastern tallied a collection of blocks and saves on two more Maryland corners in the 42nd minute. 
  • The Terps attempted seven corners in the third quarter and outshot the Huskies 9-0 in the scoreless frame. 
4th Quarter:
  • Gaitan put up a shot in the 47th minute. 
  • Jordyn Hollamon scored (7) in the 49th minute to put the Terps ahead 3-0.
  • Klebasko made another save in the 50th minute.
  • Everett scored (1) in the 51st minute to net Maryland's fourth goal of the day. 
Numbers to Know:
  • 2: Maryland improved to 2-0 all-time against the Huskies.
  • 4: The Terps scored four goals in a match for the second time this season.
  • 6: Klebasko earned her sixth shutout this season, the second-most by a Big Ten goalkeeper.
  • 7: Jordyn Hollamon leads the team with seven goals on the season.
  • 15: Maryland took 15 corners in the win.
  • 17: Klebasko earned the 17th shutout of her career.
  • 28: The Terps outshot Northeastern 27-4 on Sunday.

  • Maryland heads to Bloomington, Indiana, for the Big Ten Tournament. The Terps are the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Ohio State on Nov. 6. The match will start at 2 PM and air on B1G+.
