
Terps Fall To Washington In Three Sets

Maryland looks ahead to Senior Day against Oregon on Friday.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland fell to the Washington Huskies in three sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-18) on Wednesday night at the Schanwald Pavilion.
The Terps (8-21, 1-18 Big Ten) fought with the Huskies (13-6, 8-11 Big Ten) for three sets and had several players contribute strong performances, but Washington left College Park with its 13th win of the season.
Sydney Bryant had a big day for the Terps with 13 kills, two digs and a pair of blocks. She led the charge in the competitive second set and finished the day with a .333 hitting percentage.
How It Happened:
1st Set:
The Terps (8-21, 1-18 Big Ten) fought with the Huskies (13-6, 8-11 Big Ten) for three sets and had several players contribute strong performances, but Washington left College Park with its 13th win of the season.

How It Happened:
1st Set:
- Duru Gökçen recorded Maryland's first kill of the night.
- The Terps took a 4-3 lead as Malual picked up her first two kills.
- Washington used a 4-0 run and an ace to take an 8-5 lead.
- Kills from Melby, Lilly Wagner and Malual sparked a 4-0 run that saw Maryland tie the set at 14-14.
- A Bryant kill evened the set at 17-17.
- Washington used a 6-1 run to pull away.
- The Huskies won the first set 25-21.
- Washington started the set on a 3-0 run.
- Bryant picked up a trio of early kills.
- Ally Williams cut the deficit with an ace.
- Eva Rohrbach capped a 5-0 run with an ace as Maryland took a 15-14 lead.
- A Washington ace put the Huskies ahead 19-17.
- UW took the second set 25-18.
- Washington opened an 8-4 lead.
- A 4-0 Terps run cut the UW lead to 10-9.
- Maryland took a 16-14 lead with another 3-0 run as Bryant added two more kills.
- Washington used two more aces to take a 20-17 lead.
- The Huskies won the final set 25-18.
- Maryland hosts Oregon in its final game of the season on Nov. 28. The match will start at 1 PM and air on B1G+.
