COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The University of Maryland women's tennis team defeated Howard 7-0 in the Terps first home dual match of the season.

Kallista Liu and Ema Kovacevic got things started for the Terps, taking the No. 1 doubles match 6-0. After trailing 3-5, Aida Eissa and Katherine Hung came back to win the No. 3 doubles match 7-5, clinching the doubles point and a 1-0 lead for the Terrapins heading into singles. 

Oliwia Orlinska kept the momentum going for Maryland, sweeping the No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-0. Kallista Liu followed up with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the No. 1 singles match pushing the Terps ahead 3-0.

Diya Challa won the No. 5 singles match 6-2, 6-3, increasing Maryland's lead to 4-0.

Ema Kovacevic and Tamari Gagoshidze took the No. 4 and No. 5 single's matches to make it 6-0.

Aida Eissa sealed the 7-0 sweep for Maryland, winning the No. 6 singles match 6-1, 7-6 (7-5).
