The 2025 NFL Combine wrapped up in Indy on Sunday and the Terps had social media buzzing throughout the weekend. Maryland was represented by five players: DL Tommy Akingbesote, WR Tai Felton, DL Jordan Phillips, WR Kaden Prather and DB Dante Trader Jr.
The Terps went through interviews with key NFL decision makers, met with the media and worked out on the field. Let's take a look back at the weekend that was at the NFL Combine!
Tai felton
The All-American didn't disappoint during his day on the field on Saturday. Felton, who led the Big Ten in receptions and receiving yards during the 2025 regular season, showed off his speed and jumping ability during drills. Amongst all wide receivers at the combine, Felton's 40-yard dash time (4.37s) ranked sixth, his vertical jump (39.50") was fourth best and his broad jump (10'10") ranked fifth.
Kaden prather
Kaden Prather also took to the field on Saturday and showed off his size and speed. Prather measured in at 6-foot-3.5, 204-lbs and ran a solid 4.46 40-yard dash. His 10-yard split clocked in at 1.53 seconds and he had a vertical jump of 30.00" and broad jump of 9'6".
dante trader jr.
Trader was the lone Terp on the field on Friday and although he chose not to run the 40-yard dash until Maryland's Pro Day, he did run the fourth fastest 3-cone drill time among safeties at 7.09 seconds. Trader posted a vertical jump of 31.00" and broad jump of 9'9".
Jordan phillips
Phillips had his testing day in the weight room and on the field on Thursday and didn't disappoint. He posted 29 reps on the bench press, the most for any defensive lineman and third most of all combine participants. He also clocked 4.65 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle, the fourth best time amongst defensive tackles.
tommy akingbesote
Akingbesote joined Phillips as the first two Terps to take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for the combine. Akingbesote showed off his rare combination of size and speed as he posted a 5.09 second 40-yard dash, the ninth best time amongst defensive linemen. He also had a vertical jump of 28.00" and broad jump of 8'7".
