
Terrapins Defeat Nebraska 4-1 on Senior Day

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The University of Maryland women's tennis team defeated No. 65 Nebraska 4-1 in their final home match of the season. Following the match, the Terrapins held their senior celebration.
The Terrapins are now 3-0 in their last three matches and will finish the season with a home record of 9-3.
In doubles, the Terrapins jumped ahead in all three matches. Kallista Liu and Danielle Hack closed things out first, taking the No. 2 doubles match 6-1. Diya Challa and Ema Kovacevic quickly followed, winning the No. 1 doubles match 6-1 to clinch the doubles point.
Oliwia Orlinska and Tamari Gagoshidze were leading in the No. 3 doubles match when the doubles point was clinched.
In singles, Tamari Gagoshidze kept things going for the Terps, winning the No. 5 singles match 6-0, 6-3 to push Maryland ahead 2-0.
Oliwia Orlinska followed with a singles win in the No. 3 match, winning 6-1, 6-2.
After Nebraska took the No. 2 singles match, Diya Challa shut the door, winning the No. 6 singles match to clinch the 4-1 victory.
