
Volleyball Finalizes 2025 Non-Conference Slate

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland volleyball team has finalized its 2025 schedule with the announcement of its non-conference slate on Monday morning. In addition to 20 Big Ten matchups, the Terps will compete in three tournaments, playing 10 non-conference games to kick off the 2025 campaign. Maryland will host two of those contests at the Stephen M. Schanwald Pavilion at XFINITY Center.
To begin the season, Maryland will travel to Conway, South Carolina, for a tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina, where they will face Coastal in the season opener on Aug. 30, followed by a matchup with North Carolina on Aug. 31.
The Terps will then head to UMBC for another early-season tournament, taking on William & Mary on Sept. 5, Old Dominion on Sept. 6, and concluding the tournament against UMBC on Sept. 7.
Maryland will host its first non-conference home match against Delaware State on Sept. 10, before traveling to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for a tournament hosted by Wake Forest. There, the Terps will face Davidson on Sept. 13 and close out the weekend against Wake Forest on Sept. 14.
Maryland's non-conference schedule will conclude with a road matchup at Coppin State on Sept. 16, followed by their final non-conference home match against Seton Hall on Sept. 19.
In 2024, the Terps finished non-conference play with a 9-2 record, marking their 13th consecutive season with a winning non-conference record, dating back to 2012.
