COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2025-26 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the
Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is
Laurin Mack of the men's soccer team (1-0).
Sophomore goalkeeper
Laurin Mack has also been named the first Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week of the 2025 season for his performance in the Terps 1-0 win at No. 25 Georgetown.
Mack recorded a career-high six saves in the match as the Hoyas took 18 shots in the match, with many of them being shot from right in front of the goal. The 2024 Big Ten All-Freshman Team member started his 2025 campaign with a shutout victory on an amazing performance. The victory marked the first road win for Maryland vs. a ranked team since 2022, which also came against Georgetown.
Following his performance, Mack said the following: "That was a team effort. I feel like I made some great saves. I'm just trying my best to keep the ball out of the net and today (I had more) chances to do it (than) other games. I did my job pretty well, I'd say."
The Terps will be back in action Friday night at home in front of the Crew on to host Bucknell. Tickets can be found
