  • "We played a lot of players and I'm just super excited with the result. Stanford's a very good team."
  • "The opener is just about your jersey. We're just not going to lose the opener. We can't. It can really set a tempo for the season."
  • "I thought we did great (controlling possession). We'd been looking at a lot of footage to figure out how we can overload a side and then exploit the other side and have numbers. I thought we did that well."
Ellie's Excellent Start:
  • "I think it was super important for us to get on the board first and just build that momentum and be the dictators of this game. It was a really great feeling. It was awesome to get hype with the team."
Klebasko's Win:
  • I think we just locked it down. We knew what we had to do. Stanford is a great team. They're fast. They're gritty in the circle. We knew that we had to match that energy and we did it well. We played simple in the back and were able to just work it up the field."
Up Next:
  • The Terps wrap up the Conference Cup in College Park on Aug. 31, when they take on Villanova. The match will start at 2 PM and will air on B1G+.
