Tarheeb Still played a critical role in the Chargers' 20–9 win over the Raiders on Monday night. The rookie defensive back finished second on the team with nine tackles (seven solo), a tackle for loss, and two pass breakups.

Nick Cross led the Colts' defensive efforts in a 29–28 win over the Broncos, posting a team-high seven tackles and a pass deflection.
- Deonte Banks made his presence felt against the Cowboys, finishing with six tackles and two tackles for loss.

Jordan Phillips, the rookie linebacker, continued to impress in Week 2, making the start and recording three tackles.
