COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2025-26 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's Terp of the Week is Sadam Masereka of the men's soccer team (6-0-2). 

Masereka scored his team-high fourth goal of the season in the Terp's 4-1 win over Northwestern. The goal was a dramatic bicycle kick that extended Maryland's lead to 3-1, at the time.

The win brings the Terps to a 6-0-2 record, their best start since the 2017 season while, holding a 4-0-1 record at Ludwig Field. Maryland is also currently in first place in the Big Ten with a 2-0-1 record, good for seven points.

Maryland men's soccer will be traveling to Los Angeles, Ca. to take on UCLA Friday night with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 pm ET. The match will be televised on Big Ten Network.
