COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland women's tennis team won against Old Dominion 4-3 in the third home match of the season.
In the doubles round, Old Dominion gained a point, winning the first two matches 6-4 and 6-1.
In singles,
Diya Challa got Maryland on the board, followed by dominant second sets by
Oliwia Orlinska and
Lucia Donnelly to get us to 3 points.
To clinch the victory,
Magdalena Baniak fought hard to win her second set 7-6, giving the Terps the 4th point and the win.
Close singles losses from
Emma Ghirardato and
Ema Kovacevic made the final score 4-3 Maryland.
