Maryland’s Sadam Masereka Signs With Switchbacks FC

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland men's soccer continues to produce professional talent, opening 2026 with Sadam Masereka signing with Switchbacks FC of the USL.
Masereka, who led the Terps in both goals and points with nine and 22, delivered a standout senior season that earned him All-Big Ten First Team honors as well as United Soccer First Team All-Region. His season was highlighted by a first-half hat trick in the regular-season finale at Michigan State — Maryland's first hat trick since 2017 and first in a single half since 2005.
