JOHN'S ISLAND, SC --Â The Maryland women's golf team wrapped up at the Briar's Creek Invitational at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek Tuesday. The event was shortened to 36 holes due to weather Monday.
Sophomore
Anna Pillard led the Terps and tied for 34th with a score of 147 (76-71), which was +3. Senior Daniela Burgos Ortega and sophomore
Chananyu Chowiwattana both tied for 42nd with scores of 148. Burgos Ortega went 77-71 and Chowiwattana went 78-70.Â
Freshman
Emily McKee and senior
Surapa Janthamunee both earned score of 150, which was +6. McKee, competing as an individual, went 75-74 and Janthamunee went 76-73. Freshman
Noa Terroba Toro shot a 158 (81-77).
As a team, the Terrapins earned a score of 592 (307-285), which was +16. The Terrapins beat out SMU, Iowa and Georgia.Â
Next, the Terps will compete in the Clemson Invitational March 27-29 in Sunset, S.C.
