COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2025–26 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's honoree is redshirt-shophomore Dario Lemus of the wrestling team.
Lemus battled his way to a sixth-place finish at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships as the No. 11 seed, earning the first automatic NCAA qualifying bid of his career at 141 pounds. The weight class featured just seven automatic qualifying spots, the fewest of any division.
On his way to the podium, Lemus secured several impressive wins, including a 10–1 major decision over No. 14 seed Jaden Crumpler of Michigan State, a fall over No. 5 seed Joey Ragusin of Michigan in 2:46, and a 9–7 decision against No. 8 seed Danny DeKraker of Northwestern.
