BERMUDA RUN, NC -- Maryland men's golf junior Emil Riegger wrapped up at NCAA Regionals Wednesday at the Bermuda Run Golf Course in Bermuda Run, N.C.
Riegger tied for 37th individually with a score of 213 (73-71-70), which was +1. He made seven birdies overall.
Riegger was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team for the second straight year by the league's head coaches earlier this month. He racked up nine top 20 finishes, six top 10 finishes and two individual titles in the Terps' 10 events this season. Riegger is the first Terp to win two events in a season since 2016. He tied his career-low 54-hole score of 206 twice this season.
Riegger was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week twice this year (Feb. 26, March 24) after winning the Wyoming Desert Collegiate and the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate.
This marked Riegger's second straight NCAA Regionals bid.
