COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland women's soccer has announced its 2026 schedule on Tuesday, highlighted by nine home matches at Ludwig Field and 12 Big Ten contests under second-year head coach Michael Marchiano.
"We are excited about the upcoming season," said Marchiano. "In order to continue the development of our team in season two, we need to make sure we are challenging ourselves at a high level, and the schedule this fall will do exactly that through difficult non-conference and Big Ten opposition."
The Terps begin their season at Ludwig Field for their home opener on Aug. 16 against Fordham. Maryland will remain home to host Farleigh Dickinson on Aug. 20 before closing out the month of August with road match-ups at Virginia Tech on Aug. 23 and Navy on Aug. 27.
In 2025, Maryland recorded three straight shutouts to open their season, marking the program's first such start since 1996.
Maryland begins September with consecutive home matches against Old Dominion on Sept. 3 and Binghamton on Sept. 6. The Terrapins open Big Ten play on the West Coast, making their first stop on Sept. 10 at Washington before making the trip to Oregon on Sept. 13.
Maryland then returns home for a three-match conference home stand, welcoming Penn State on Sept. 18, Wisconsin on Sept. 24, and UCLA on Sept. 27 to Ludwig Field. The Terps will then travel to Minnesota on Oct. 2 before hosting Nebraska on Oct. 8 and Northwestern on Oct. 11.
Maryland will close out its home schedule against Iowa on Oct. 16 before finishing the regular season with East Coast road matches at Michigan on Oct. 22, Michigan State on Oct. 25, and Rutgers on Oct. 30.
Match times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
The Terps have welcomed five transfers this offseason, and there will be seven incoming freshmen this fall.
