
Field Hockey Releases 2026 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland field hockey head coach Missy Meharg announced the Terrapins' 2026 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 18 regular-season contests, eight home games at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex and a challenging slate that includes seven NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago.
The Terrapins will begin preparations for the season with a pair of exhibition contests, hosting Richmond on Aug. 13 before traveling to James Madison on Aug. 16. Maryland will also host La Salle in a final preseason tune-up on Aug. 22.
Maryland officially opens the regular season by hosting the Conference Cup on Aug. 28 and 30 in College Park. The four-team event features Maryland, Drexel, Temple and James Madison. The Terps will take on Drexel on Aug. 28 before facing Temple on Aug. 30, while Drexel and James Madison meet in a neutral-site matchup during the tournament weekend.
The first road trip of the season sends Maryland to Massachusetts, for the B1G/ACC Challenge, where the Terps will take on Boston College on Sept. 4 and Duke on Sept. 6.
The Terps return to College Park for back-to-back home contests against Towson on Sept. 11 and Saint Joseph's on Sept. 13. Maryland then travels to Penn State on Sept. 17 before returning home to host Wake Forest on Sept. 20 and open Big Ten play against Rutgers on Sept. 25.
Maryland will also face a pair of non-conference opponents in the second half of the season, traveling to Princeton on Sept. 29 before hosting Delaware on Oct. 4.
A pivotal October stretch features road contests at Michigan (Oct. 9) and Northwestern (Oct. 22), while the Terps will host Michigan State (Oct. 16), and Ohio State (Oct. 18) in College Park.
Maryland closes the regular season with a road trip to Indiana on Oct. 25 before welcoming Iowa for Senior Day on Oct. 30.
Postseason play begins with the Big Ten Tournament Nov. 5-8 in Columbus, Ohio, followed by the NCAA Tournament. First and second-round action is scheduled for Nov. 13-15, while the NCAA Final Four will take place Nov. 20-22 in Louisville, Ky.
