Rocket Ritarita Named To Philippine Men's Soccer National Team

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland men's soccer sophomore Rocket Ritarita has been named to the Philippine Men's National Team roster for the 2026 ASEAN Hyundai Cup.
Ritarita and the Philippines open tournament play on Monday, July 28, against Myanmar. The team will then face Laos on Aug. 1, Thailand on Aug. 4 and Malaysia on Aug. 8 to conclude group-stage competition. Additional information on the tournament can be found on the Tournament Hub.
Ritarita earned the national team call-up following an outstanding freshman campaign in College Park. He was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Sept. 9 after a strong start to the season.
The forward finished his debut season with four goals and six assists, including two goals during Maryland's NCAA Tournament run, establishing himself as one of the conference's top freshmen.
