Your Gameday, Upgraded: What's New In Terpsville For 2026

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland Football is ready to welcome Terp Nation back to SECU Stadium with a series of new and expanded gameday features designed to make every Saturday easier, more comfortable, and more memorable.
Many of this year's enhancements grew directly from fan feedback and the comprehensive review of the gameday experience shared earlier this year. From new traffic routes to expanded family amenities, value-priced concessions, and over 50 new concourse televisions, here is what fans can look forward to in Terpsville this fall.
A few important updates before you arrive: Presidential Drive has reopened as an active gameday route, designated rideshare zones will be located at Lot P2 and Mowatt Lane Garage, and fans may now bring one sealed water bottle or an empty plastic or metal bottle into SECU Stadium. Fans are encouraged to download or update the new Maryland Athletics app before leaving home to access tickets.
Fans looking to be in the middle of the action can purchase tickets to join the new Terp Tank, a general admission supporter section in Section 16 featuring exclusive gear, interactive experiences, gameday drink specials, and even a dunk tank throughout the season.
This season also brings more giveaways and special moments for fans of all ages, including Beach Bash rally towels, Los Terps helmet keychains, Bavarian Alpine hats, military commemorative coins, and Maryland Pride knit scarves.

The season kicks off with Beach Bash on Sept. 5 vs. Hampton, followed by Hispanic Heritage Day (Sept. 19 vs. Virginia Tech). Fans can also look forward to DC Comics Superhero Day on Sept. 26 vs. UCLA, Homecoming on Oct. 17 vs. Rutgers, Oktoberfest/Halloween on Oct. 31 vs. Illinois, Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 14 vs. Wisconsin, and Maryland Forever Day on Nov. 28 vs. Penn State. A Smoother Trip To Terpsville
Maryland Athletics and its campus partners have made several traffic and parking adjustments following a comprehensive third-party study of the gameday operation.
- Presidential Drive Reopens: Presidential Drive will serve as an active ingress and egress route for pass holders in Lots 1C, 1D, 1F and 3. To access the route, fans should enter at the Adelphi Road/Route 193 intersection. The new route should also reduce traffic at the entry and exit points in other parking areas surrounding Lot 1.
- Two Dedicated Lanes On Alumni Drive: After vehicles clear the roundabout, separate lanes will direct traffic toward Lot Z and Stadium Drive Garage. Barriers previously located along the bike lane border have also been removed to provide greater flexibility for vehicle movement.
- Designated Rideshare Zones: Fans using rideshare services should use the designated pickup and drop-off locations at Parking Lot P2 and Mowatt Lane Garage.
- More Real-Time Direction: Digital message boards will be positioned at priority decision points across campus to provide additional traffic and parking guidance.
- Updated Team Arrival And Band Parade: Maryland Football will arrive via the tree-lined Presidential Drive and begin its walk at University House toward Jones-Hill House and Terpsville Fan Fest. The Mighty Sound of Maryland will follow a slightly revised parade route, stopping to perform in Legacy Plaza before making its way to Terpsville Fan Fest approximately one hour before kickoff. These slight route adjustments will also help reduce pregame traffic stoppages.
- Additional Pedestrian Support: More staff will assist fans and manage traffic at the University Boulevard and Stadium Drive intersection.
Find What YOu Need, Faster
New digital tools will help fans navigate gameday and communicate directly with staff when something needs attention.
- Terps Text: Fans can now text TERPS to 69050 to report a non-emergency issue that needs attention during the game. QR codes will also be displayed on the videoboard and in restrooms for easy access. In an emergency, call 911.

More Comfort And Convenience Inside SECU Stadium
Fans will see several new features designed to help them enjoy more of the action and stay comfortable throughout the game.
- More than 50 new concourse televisions will be positioned near concession stands throughout the stadium, allowing fans to follow the game while away from their seats.
- Expanded hydration access includes upgraded filtered bottle-filling stations. Fans may bring one factory-sealed water bottle or one empty plastic or metal reusable bottle into the stadium to refill during the game.
- More comfortable chairbacks: New, wider chairbacks are available for purchase by lower-bowl season ticket holders. Haven't purchased yours yet? Fans in upper seating areas will also enjoy refreshed chairback inventory this season.
- More waste receptacles will be added along high-volume approaches to the stadium to help keep Terpsville clean.

Maryland is continuing to expand the family experience across Terpsville, with more food, activities and convenience for fans of all ages.
- Expanded Stroller Access: Complimentary stroller check will be available to all fans at SECU Stadium. Stroller Check is available on the 200-level concourse, at the West Gate, and outside of the stadium at Riggs Alumni Center (room 1130).
- More Kid-Friendly Food: The family concessions concept introduced near Section 212 will expand to the west concourse behind Section 14, with familiar favorites and family-friendly pricing.
- Terpsville Fan Fest Upgrades: The free, all-ages pregame destination inside Jones-Hill House returns with additional seating, enhanced activities and a dedicated host leading contests and activities.
- Family Section Activities: Fans near Section 212 can enjoy pregame youth activities and a halftime photo opportunity with Testudo.
- DC Comics Superhero Day: The Sept. 26 game against UCLA will put Young Terps in the spotlight with superhero appearances, Maryland Football Superman capes for the first 1,000 kids, and commemorative Testudo-Superman posters for the first 7,500 fans.
New Flavors And More Ways To Shop
Fans can enjoy more variety and value across the stadium this season.
- A new value menu featuring items under $5 will be available at select locations on the main concourse and 300 level.
- New signature offerings include a nacho sundae, hand-tossed wings, and other additions across the stadium.
- Expanded in-venue merchandise: Led by a Terp alumnus, Maryland's new in-venue merchandise operation will feature additional locations throughout the stadium, fresh designs, and expanded women's and youth selections.
- NIL merchandise and on-site customization: Fans can shop new print-on-demand NIL merchandise, personalize jerseys, and create one-of-one apparel at the Under Armour store behind Section 23.
