Gilmore Named Big Ten Freshman Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Kendall Gilmore was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon, the conference announced.
Gilmore recorded her first career goal this past weekend against Towson in a 6-0 win to help the Terrapins improve to 5-0. The freshman converted on her only shot attempt Friday night and recorded a shot on goal on her only attempt in Sunday's win.
The win marked the 15th time in program history Maryland has started a season 5-0 and the first time since 2022.
The Terrapins will return to action Thursday at Penn State, as Maryland kicks off conference play at 5 p.m.
