Babs van Hest Named Solomon Eye Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2026–27 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week. This week's honoree is junior Babs van Hest.
Babs scored three goals and added one assist over the weekend for a total of seven points. The junior scored one goal and added an assist Friday before scoring two goals Sunday, including the game-winning goal.
van Hest played a valuable role in helping push Maryland to a 6-0 start for the first time since 2022 and the 15th time in program history.
The Terrapins will open Big Ten Conference play Thursday at Penn State, with a 5 p.m. start time.
