Aida Ierubino Named Solomon Eye Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2026–27 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is voted on by supporters of Maryland Athletics as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week. This week's honoree is freshman Aida Ierubino.
Aida Ierubino helped propel the No. 13 Terps to a 2-0 start to kick off the 2026 season at the Conference Cup this past weekend.
The freshman netted her first two career goals, one against Drexel on Friday in the first eight minutes of the game to help secure a 3-0 win and another Sunday against Temple in a 3-1 win.
The Maryland field hockey team heads to Boston this weekend, with game action beginning Friday night. The Terrapins will compete in the ACC/B1G Challenge, facing Boston College on Friday (6 p.m.) and Duke on Sunday (11 a.m.).
