Alyssa Klebasko Named Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Alyssa Klebasko was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, the conference announced.
Klebasko earned two wins this week, including a 4-1 victory over Big Ten opponent Penn State and a shutout against No. 4 Wake Forest, to help No. 5 Maryland improve to 8-0.
The senior recorded seven saves on the week and played all 120 minutes of game action.
Against No. 4 Wake Forest, Klebasko recorded six saves, including several crucial late-game stops to preserve the shutout. Her season goals-against average now sits at 0.60.
Maryland will return to action Friday against Rutgers at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
