COLLEGE PARK, MD — Said El Eyssami has been named men's soccer Big Ten Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
El Eyssami scored the game winning goal in the 49th minute in Maryland's 1-0 victory over No. 7 Wisconsin to help the Terrapins move to 6-1-0. It was El Eyssami's third game winning goal of the season.
Maryland is back in action this Friday at Ludwig Field vs. UCLA. Kickoff is set for 7 pm and will be televised on B1G+. Tickets can be purchased here.
