Penn State Recap
- Maryland fell 2-0 to Penn State in its Big Ten home opener, despite a season-high eight saves from goalkeeper Faith Luckey. Luckey also stopped a Penn State penalty kick in the 68th minute, keeping the Terps within striking distance.
- Penn State controlled much of the match, outshooting Maryland 11-6 and holding a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal. Maryland generated four shots on target, with Mckinley Heaven and Dani Gichner each putting early attempts on frame.
