Biography

As a Senior in 2015: Second Team All-Big Ten selection...named Big Ten Championship Most Valuable Offensive Player after guiding the Terps to fourth straight league tourney title..Named to Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list...has started in all 21 matches for the Terps...posted two goals and four assists in 2015...contributed to a 0-0 tie against #4 Notre Dame (8/28)...tallied an assist in a 4-0 victory over St. Johns (8/30)...assisted on the game-winning header to Sebastian Elney in the 96th minute to defeat #1 UCLA in a 2-1 victory (9/4)...tallied one assist in a 4-1 win over Wisconsin (9/27)…tallied one assist and one goal in win over Villanova (10/5)...notched a goal in a 4-3 win at Penn State (10/9).

As a Junior in 2014: Started in all 16 games he appeared in...Big Ten Conference Player to Watch...tallied one goal against #3 Penn State (10/12) and Hartwick (10/28)...added assists against Santa Clara (10/25) and Hartwick (10/28).

As a Sophomore in 2013: Appeared in all 26 games, earning starts in 25...notched three goals and six assists on the year...recorded huge goal and pair of assists against Duke (9/6) in front of a Ludwig Field record crowd...assisted Pace’s goal in a 3-3 tie against Stanford (8/30)…assisted Tshuma’s goal in a 2-2 tie against #2 North Carolina (9/13)… scored a goal in a 3-3 tie against #23 Virginia (10/11)…recorded a goal against Boston College (11/12) in the ACC quarterfinals...posted two assists in the postseason, including one each against UC Irvine (NCAA third round) and Virginia (NCAA semifinals). 

As a Freshman in 2012: Played in 20 games in 2012 ... scored his first collegiate goal and assist in a win over Cal (9/2) ... scored a gal in the 4-0 win over Georgia State (9/24) ... tallied one assist in a win against College of Charleston (9/29) ... recorded an assist in the 2-1 win over Lehigh (10/23).

Before Maryland: Played for JFA Academy Fukushima in Futabagun, Japan... won the Tohoku Prefecture League championship under coach Yasuhito Nakata while at JFA Academy... has competed for the U-12, U-13, U-14, U15, and U-17 National Teams for Japan... competed with the U-14 National team in the International Convention in China.

Personal: Son of Takayuki and Hiromi Endoh... father ran marathon for Aoyama Gakuin University... lists his sports hero as Bastian Schweinsteiger... would play tennis if he could play another sport at Maryland... aims to one day be a member of Japan's National Team... would have Matt Damon play him in a movie... enrolled in the MEI program this semester at Maryland.
