Fall 2016: Competed in two events for the Terps...shot a 222 (75-75-72), which was +6 in The Invitational at the Ocean Course...shot a 226 (78-75-73), which was +13, in the Tar Heel Intercollegiate.
Spring 2016: Competed in five of six team events for the Terrapins...finished with a 224 (73-73-78), which was +14 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in South Carolina...earned a score of 222 (72-79-71), which was +12 at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Virginia...led Terps with score of 224 (76-74-74) and was +8 at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in South Carolina...earned a score of 154 (79-74) and was +12 at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate...had a strong showing at the Big Ten Championships to finish tied for 17th with score of 217 (68-78-71) and was -1 overall.
Fall 2015: Competed in four of five team events...finished tied for 36th in the Rod Myers Invitational with his score of 226 (73-76-77), which was +11...tied for 19th and finished even in the Firestone Invitational with a score of 216 (73-71-72) to help Terps to team title...tied for 18th at the Terrapin Invitational at Woodmont with a score of 149 (74-75), which was +5...earned a score of 151 (78-73), which was +7 at the Kiawah Classic.
Spring 2015: Made collegiate debut in the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C....finished tied for 31st with a 214 (76-66-72), which was +4 on the weekend...finished tied for 36th in the Middleburg Bank Invitational with a 220 (77-69-74), which was 10-over on the weekend...finished second on the team and tied for 37th with a 224 (72-76-76), which was +11, at the Robert Kepler Inviational, hosted by Ohio State...finished in the top 40 at the Big Ten Championships with a 304 (73-76-78-77), which was +16, at the Victoria National Golf Club.
Before Maryland: Qualified for England Schools Team...won state schools championship as an individual...played at the Hanbury Manor Golf and Country Club in Hertford, England since 2012...South England Boys Open Champion...won state Under-21 championship...was leading state player for two years.
Personal: Joe Brooks...parents are Len and Kerry Brooks...favorite golfer is Bubba Watson...came to Maryland because there are not better facilities in the country...can also play the guitar...psychology major...would like to join the pro tour after graduation.
