As a Junior (2014-15): Was a presence for the Terps at the top three spots in the lineup…started the season with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Georgia State’s Linn Timmermann (1/24)…moved up to No. 1 and dropped a match to Malena Gordo of Stephen F. Austin (2/7)…defeated Columbia’s Rima Asatrian, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 (2/14)…took a three-set decision over St. John’s Natalie Vavulina, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 (2/15)…rolled Annika Ringblom of Harvard, 6-1, 6-2 (2/21)…defeated Rutgers’ Chloe Lee, 6-3, 6-1 (2/28)…won a tight match over Ingrid Vojcinakova of No. 56 Old Dominion, 7-6 (5), 0-6, 12-10 (3/6)…continued her nice play at No. 3 with a 6-4, 4-6, 13-10 victory over Nebraska’s Mary Hanna (3/13)…took out Maria Avgerinos of Wisconsin at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2 (3/28)…dropped her final five matches of the year in tight decisions...Fall Season…won three matches at the Tribe Invitational (9/20-21)…advanced to the round of 16 at the Cissie Leary Invitational (9/12-13).
As a Sophomore (2013-2014): One of the most improved players on the team, locking down the No. 2 spot in the lineup by the middle of ACC play ... notched wins against No. 66 Wake Forest and No. 62 Syracuse ... took over the No. 2 spot against No. 68 Princeton and defeated Emily Hahn, 6-4, 6-4 ... moved up to No. 3 against No. 14 ... went 6-2 at No. 4, including the her first four matches to start the season ... reached the semifinals of B singles at the Cissie Leary Invitational, defeating Penn's Stephanie Do, 6-1, 6-2, in the second round and Columbia's Laura Wiley, 6-2, 6-0, in the quarterfinals ... lost to her sister, Olga, in the semis ... went 3-1 at the Wake Forest Invitational.
As a Freshman (2012-2013): Joined the team in the spring ... held the No. 6 position in singles, winning matches against Howard (Jan. 22) and UMBC (Jan 25) ... teamed with her sister Olga to form No. 3 doubles tandem to start the season ... the pair moved up to No. 2 doubles for the Towson match
Before Maryland: St Petersburg Cup (under-18) finalist ... partnered with her sister Olga to win three under-18 Russian Tennis Tour events.
Personal: daughter of Alexey and Liudmila ... sister Olga also plays tennis for Maryland ... came to Maryland for "the strong academics, beautiful campus and great coaching staff."
