STAFF
Our player/coach ratio will be one coach per 10 campers regardless of enrollment. The Maryland football staff will personally work with each participant. In addition, campers will receive instruction by coaches from at least 10 other colleges.
FACILITIES
The Technique School is held on the Maryland campus and has full use of our stadium, beautiful grass practice fields as well as the Maryland weight room and other campus facilities.
POSITIONS
The school offers each camper the chance to work at his position both offensively and defensively.
WEIGHT TRAINING
The Maryland strength and conditioning coach will conduct several sessions with each position on proper and safe techniques used in various lifting exercises. He will also be on hand to work with the campers when they have access to Maryland's spacious weight room.
FLEXIBILITY, FORM RUNNING, SPRINT TECHNIQUE
We have experts in the field of speed improvement who will help each player maximize his running ability. Many campers will experience an increase in speed and flexibility and return home with a better understanding of stance, start and running technique.
INSPIRATIONAL TALKS
A daily inspirational talk by a membr of the staff includes topics from visualization to responsibilities of a student-athlete to his team and community. These talks serve to motivate the players to prepare mentally for the coming season. Individual goals are emphasized througout the week.
NUTRITION/DRUG EDUCATION
The camp will include a seminar on the value of proper nutrition to maximize performance.
EQUIPMENT
Offensive and defensive linemen, defensive ends and linebackers need helmets and shoulder pads. We will do our best to issue equipment to those who cannot bring their own for a cost of $10. We cannot guarantee enough for everyone. All other positions need only helmets. We will not issue helmets to those positions because they are not a necessity.
HOUSING
Complete information on housing will be sent to you upon receipt of the application with payment of deposit.
