Terps Announce 2001 Football Theme

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - To kick off the Ralph Friedgen Era of football at the University of Maryland, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics [ICA] has announced its theme for the 2001 season:
Fridge Fever...It's Red Hot!
The theme is a play on Friedgen's nickname and will be utilized in all of the ICA's external materials [i.e. press releases, schedule cards, posters, schedule magnets, media guide, game program, tickets, advertising, concessions, etc.]. In addition, opportunities exist to involve corporate partners, retailers, and licensees.
The theme was developed by an ICA focus group, comprised of 10 individuals from several units within the department.
The firm Nasuti & Hinkle of Silver Spring, Md., was retained to design the logo.
