Track Teams Split Up, Head To George Mason, Florida State

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's and women's track teams will split up this weekend, sending athletes to George Mason and Florida State for meets that will both be held this Saturday.
The meet at George Mason will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the hammer throw competition and will conclude at around 5 p.m. with the 4x400 relays. Competition at Florida State will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 11 p.m. with the men's 5,000.
The meet will provide athletes who have not yet qualified for ECAC, IC4A, or NCAA competition to do so. Twelve members of the women's team have qualified for the ECAC Championships in individual events, as well as the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. Three individuals on the men's team and the 4x100 relay team have qualified for IC4A Championships.
After this weekend's meet, the Terps will compete at the Eastern Colleges of America Conference (ECAC) Championships and Intercollegiate Association of Amateur American Athletes (IC4A) Championships, which will both be held in Princeton, N.J. After that will be the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
