Terps To Conclude Spring Grid Drills With Red-White Game Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Second-year coach Ralph Friedgen and his University of Maryland football team will conclude spring practice this Saturday with the annual Red-White intrasquad game in Byrd Stadium.

Admission is free.

The scrimmage is expected to begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., members of the 2002 football team -- along with new women's basketball coach Brenda Oldfield - will be on hand in the stadium concourse for an autograph signing session.

Other activities at the Red-White game include interactive kids' games sponsored by Pepsi and a Sears Cup presentation commemorating Maryland's title-winning 2001 campaign.

At halftime of the scrimmage, the Terps' new 2002 uniforms will be unveiled.

The first 3,000 University of Maryland students will receive a free 2002 Maryland football T-shirt.

Spring Game Schedule - Saturday, April 27
2 p.m. - Byrd Stadium gates open
3 p.m. - Autograph session with 2002 football team (stadium concourse)
4 p.m. - Team warm-up
4:30 p.m. -- Scrimmage begins
