COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University Committee on Student Ticket Distribution has unveiled a new, online student ticket distribution system for the 2002-03 academic year at www.tickets.umd.edu.

The committee consisted of 28 members, 15 of whom are students. It developed a user-friendly, online distribution system that rewards loyal students with the increased opportunity to obtain tickets to football and men's basketball home games. The system provides a safe and convenient method to distribute student tickets and offers a variety of cutting-edge features, such as print-at-home tickets.
"We made every effort to create an equitable system that serves the best interests of Maryland students," said Brandon DeFrehn, 2002-03 SGA President. "This online system is yet another example of the Terps leading the pack."
Implementation of the Online Student Ticket Distribution System
The www.tickets.umd.edu website will be fully operational on October 5, 2002, and will be used by students to obtain tickets for all men's basketball home games during the 2002-03 season, including Midnight Madness.
The online system will also be used for the final two home football games -- NC State on November 9th and Wake Forest on November 30th.
