Coppedge ACC Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland's Kelly Coppedge was named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Coppedge led the Terrapins to an 18-7 victory over No. 20 Old Dominion on Saturday. The senior midfielder was dominant on both ends of the field, scoring six goals and dishing out two assists for eight points on offense, while registering game-highs in both caused turnovers (5) and ground balls (6) on defense. The Annapolis, Md., native also tallied four draw controls. Coppedge has scored eight or more points in her last three games.

It's Coppedge's first ACC Player of the Week honor this season. She was the ACC Player of the Year in 2003.

Coppedge and the Terps will return to action when they host Dartmouth on Tuesday, March 23.
