Maryland's Kelly Coppedge was named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. This is Coppedge's third player of the week honor this season.
The senior midfielder led Maryland to a 13-8 win over No. 2 Georgetown on April 7 and a 14-11 victory over No. 9 Johns Hopkins on April 11. She scored her 200th career goal against the Blue Jays, becoming just the 22nd player in Division I women's lacrosse history to accomplish the feat.
Against the Hoyas, the Annapolis, Md., native scored six goals, including the game-winner and dished out two assists for eight points. She also tallied three draw controls. Against Johns Hopkins, Coppedge notched six goals and one assist for seven points. In addition, she registered four ground balls and two draw controls.
Coppedge has recorded three straight six-goal games and has scored at least six goals in six games this season for the Terps.
