Terps Today (TT): Of the 206 goals you've scored which is your favorite or most memorable?
Kelly Coppedge (KC): My favorite is from my freshman year in overtime against Georgetown in the NCAA finals. It was cool because it was such an important game and I got really lucky. The ball was loose up at the top of the eight, and I was just running through and picked it up and I couldn't stop myself and I was in front of the goal, and I had nothing else to do but to shoot it. I think I closed my eyes and prayed.
TT: If you could have one song play every time you scored a goal, what would it be?
KC: Foghat's "Slow Ride."
TT: Who would win in a game of H-O-R-S-E between you and Jen Adams?
KC: I say she would win H-O-R-S-E to H, I give myself some speck of hope, and then we'd play H-O-R-S-E P-E-R-I-O-D, because you know when you're little and you can't lose you have to give yourself a chance at an unbelievable comeback, but then I'd feel even worse because she'd still beat me.
TT: What's the toughest class you've ever taken?
KC: My toughest class was English 101. It was awful. I'm so bad at writing papers - I'm a math person.
TT: Who on your team would you pay to watch play?
KC: I like to watch Kirah (Miles). I think it's cool to watch goalies because I think they've got one of the hardest positions on the field. They are so mentally strong and are into game the entire time.
TT: What's a hidden talent you have?
KC: I can flip my eyelids inside-out.
TT: What's one food you always have around?
KC: Peanut butter.
TT: What's your favorite meal that your mom makes?
KC: She makes this chicken and mushroom casserole that's my favorite.
TT: How do you get your Chipotle burrito?
KC: I haven't been there in so long, but I get a chicken fajita, sometimes with mild sauce depending on my mood. I always get sour cream and lettuce and that's it, and I have extra hot sauce on the side for each bite.
TT: Who has inspired you?
KC: There have been lots of friends and family that have inspired me, but I would like to say that I'm dedicating this game and the rest of the season to my Aunt Nancy.
