After A Successful Career, Women's Basketball's Brick Earns Degree

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Terrapin women's basketball senior Vicki Brick took to the floor at Comcast Center for the final time when she walked across the stage during the commencement ceremony on Friday, May 21 to accept her diploma.

A staple with the Maryland women's basketball team for the last five years, which included a redshirt season her sophomore year, Brick received her degree in kinesiology. Next month, she will participate in a basketball combine in Spain and will vie for a spot on a professional squad. She also intends to continue her studies in the future, pursuing a master's degree in business administration and hopes to work in the fitness field.

Brick was at one time planning give up basketball to pursue a career in professional tennis but decided to give up tennis instead. She is the daughter of Lynne and Victor Brick.
