COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The University of Maryland's competitive cheerleading team will travel to Atlantic City, NJ to compete in Spirit Unlimited's "Battle at the Boardwalk." The Terps are looking for a third title in their inaugural season, having already won the 2004 American Masters Championship on Feb. 8 and the 2004 UMBC New Year's Bash Championship on Feb. 2.
The squad will compete against Staten Island Elite/Gemsation in the Collegiate Open-All Girl category, part of the third session of the evening. Maryland is scheduled to compete at 7:30 p.m. at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
