Maryland Head Coach Brenda Frese
On the game:
"I was really happy about our play today. I thought we had a lot of energy, especially in the first half on the defensive end. We came out strong and aggressive, and took ownership of the boards. I was really proud of the effort in the first half, and it's good to see a box score where we have so many players being unselfish."

On rebounding after the Duke loss:
"It was very important [to come out strong on the boards]. I was excited about this team the first day we came back to practice. Their energy was exactly where it needed to be. They didn't feel sorry for themselves, they just came ready to work. The work and the effort that we put into practice this week was a positive sign for this team."

On expectations coming into the game:
"I knew we were going to come in ready to play, but I wasn't sure what to expect from Florida State. Every ACC opponent is going to come after us and give us their best effort. FSU is an athletic and scrappy team. I was excited to see the response after this week of practice, but now we have to get ready for Virginia. Going down there is always tough because of our rivalry, so we have to be ready for our next battle."

On team depth:
"We know that someone can have an off night and someone else is going to step up for us. Early on, Jade [Perry] had the hot hand. I thought Laura Harper was very confident and aggressive in the second half. It was good to see Kristi [Toliver] play well and start to get her rhythm back."

Maryland Center Crystal Langhorne
On rebounding effort:
"I really just came out feeling like I needed to pick it up tonight. I never have had zero rebounds before in my life. That was a low for me so I knew that I needed to do better tonight."

Maryland Forward Jade Perry
On her fast start:
"I just came out with a lot of confidence. They were doubling Langhorne so I was able to get open for my shot."

On improved rebounding:
"We knew that last week was the first time that we had ever gotten outrebounded, and we wanted to make sure that it was the last."

Maryland Guard Kristi Toliver
On her status:
"Every time I get out on the court, I'm 100%. When I need to come out, I do, but I just need to give it some more time and continue to rehab and I'll be fine."

On her goals for the game:
"I just want to help the team get better and succeed. My shots have been falling, but it's definitely more important for me to get everyone involved."

Florida State Head Coach Sue Semrau
On Crystal Langhorne's rebounding:
"Maryland rebounded well today. Crystal [Langhorne] didn't have one rebound against Duke and I thought she came out today and tried to prove that she is a rebounder. I think we did a good job on her defensively, only holding her to four shots, but she helped the team in other ways. It's impressive when a player can be shut down in one area and help her team in another."

On Maryland's team:
"The balance that Maryland is showing right now is what makes them a great team. That we can hold Shay [Doron] to five points, zero rebounds and three turnovers, and five other players stepped up and score in double figures is impressive. Everyone knows their role."

On Florida State's play:
"We think we can stay close at the beginning, but when Alicia Gladden gets in foul trouble, that changes the game. We brought in a couple of freshman off the bench who are going to be tremendous players, but they aren't as seasoned as Alicia."

On Florida State's offensive rebounds:
"Maryland didn't let us get the offensive boards. We've been first or second in the ACC conference in offensive rebounds. We don't pride ourselves in being a great shooting team; we pride ourselves in getting extra possessions, but Maryland didn't let us get those."
