#70 Maryland Slices Past Navy, 6-1

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Men's Tennis Team (9-4) breezed past Navy on Wednesday, 6-1. The match was played at The Tennis Center at College Park.
Maryland succeeded past the Midshipmen by first capturing the doubles point. John Brauser and Boris Fetbroyt first played for the Terps, quickly securing Maryland's first victory, 8-3. #35 Andrew Orban and Scott Fink won their match, 8-6. Maryland was now in front on Navy, 1-0.
In the first singles match, Nickolai Nielsen faced Nate Nelms. Nielsen easily won both sets, 6-3, 6-1. The Terrapins had some trouble in the second match. Andreas Vaage-Nilsen lost his match, 6-3, 6-3. However, Nielsen's victory as well as four more single victories for the Terps ensured Maryland's victory.
Playing third and fourth for the Terps were Scott Fink and Boris Fetbroyt, respectively. Both Fink and Fetbroyt won their matches, 6-2, 6-2. Aaron Carr, fifth for the Terps, also won his first set, 6-2. However, Carr faced some difficulty in the second set. In a tiebreaker, Carr came out on top with a victory, 7-6 (4).
John O'Rourke rounded out the match for the Terrapins. In his fourth win of the season, O'Rourke defeated his opponent, 6-4, 6-2.
Maryland will be on the road this weekend to face Wake Forest on Saturday and North Carolina State on Sunday.
