Terps Defeated By Wake Forest At ACC's, 4-0

CARY, N.C. - The No. 11 seeded Maryland Men's Tennis Team lost today against No. 6 seeded Wake Forest, 4-0, in the first round of the ACC Men's Tennis Championship at Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C.
Andrew Orban and Scott Fink played first singles for the Terps, falling to Brett Ross and Charles Sartor of Wake Forest, 8-3. Second doubles Josh Brauser and Boris Fetbroyt also fell to Todd Paul and Cory Parr of the Deacons, 8-4. Third singles Nickolai Nielsen and Andreas Vaage-Nilsen's match did not finish due to Wake Forest winning the doubles point. However, Nielsen and Vaage-Nilsen were leading, 6-4.
In the singles matches, first singles No. 115 Nielsen faced No. 17 Paul of Wake Forest. Nielsen played a tough match, closely falling in two sets, 6-4, 6-4. Second to finish for the Terps was sixth singles Brauser, who was defeated by the Deacon's Joe Bates, 6-1, 6-2.
In the third finish of the day, Andrew Hamar defeated Maryland's second singles Fink, 6-3, 6-1. Vaage-Nilsen, Fetbroyt, and John O'Rourke's singles matches did not finish due to the match already being decided in Wake Forest's favor. However, in Fetbroyt was up 1 set in his match against Mariusz Adamski at fourth singles.
The Terrapins finish the season with an overall record of 9-12.
