#70 Maryland Falls to #36 North Carolina State, 6-1

RALEIGH, N.C. - #70 Maryland Men's Tennis Team fell today in their 15 match of the season, 6-1, to #36 North Carolina State. The Terps are now 9-6, with one win and five losses in the ACC.
Boris Fetbroyt and Josh Brauser fell for Maryland in the first doubles match of the day, 8-3. However, Maryland quickly turned their game around, capturing the second and third doubles sets to win the doubles point. Andrew Orban and Scott Fink played in the second doubles match, winning 8-4, while Nickolai Nielsen and Andreas Vaage-Nilsen grasped the third, 8-6.
After the win in the doubles, the Terps were unable to grasp any wins in their singles matches. Nielsen competed first for Maryland in the singles matches, falling 6-2, 6-3.
Orban, who played second for the Terps, saw a victory in the first set of his match, 6-2. Orban was unable to hold his winnings, falling 6-0 in the second set and 6-2 in the third. Vaage-Nilsen also fell in the third singles match, 6-2, 6-0.
Fink, who saw two victories yesterday against Wake Forest in the singles and the doubles matches, only saw one today in his doubles match. He fell in the singles in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Fetbroyt, playing fifth for the Terps, barely fell 7-5 in the first set and 6-4 in the second. Aaron Carr finished the match for the Terps, also falling, 6-1, 6-2.
The Men's Tennis Team only has three more home matches left to play. Their first will be Wednesday, April 5 against Virginia at the Tennis Center at College Park. They will also face North Carolina on Friday, April 7 and Duke on Sunday, April 9.
