#3/3 Maryland 95, Virginia 68
January 19, 2007
Comcast Center
The win improves the Terrapins' record to 19-1 (3-1). It matches the team's best record after 20 games. They also started 19-1 in the 1991-92 season.
The Terps extended their home winning streak to 17 games.
This is the third most points that the Cavaliers have given up this season. They gave up 96 twice, most recently on January 8 at North Carolina.
It was the ninth time on the season that Maryland scored 90 or more points.
Crystal Langhorne eclipsed the 1,500 point plateau with her 17 points on the day. She now has 1,509 on her career, just a point behind Deedee Warley (1999-2002) for seventh place on the Maryland all-time list.
Langhorne also registered 12 rebounds, one shy of a season high. It was her 39th career double-double and the sixth of the season.
Langhorne scored in double figures for the 44th consecutive game.
For the second time this season, two Terps scored 20 or more
points. Laura Harper poured in 21 and Kristi Toliver knocked down 20. The last time that happened was in an 82-64 win over TCU in the BTI Classic, when Harper scored a career-high 27 and Shay Doron had 22.
Toliver scored 20 or more points for just the second time in her career. The last time was 28 points against Utah on March 27, 2006, to help send the Terps to the Final Four.
For the 16th time in 20 games, at least four Terrapins scored in double figures. In addition to Langhorne, Harper, and Toliver, Marissa Coleman had 16 points.
Harper's five blocks ties a career high set on November 24, 2005 against Gonzaga.
Jade Perry had 10 rebounds on the day, the third time in the past four games that she has registered at least 10 rebounds. It is the fifth time this season that she has pulled down double digit boards.
