Senior Laura Harper's lay-up with 16:41 remaining in the second half gave the forward career points 1,000 and 1,001. Harper is the 24th player in Maryland history to reach the 1,000-point milestone along with current teammates Crystal Langhorne and Marissa Coleman.
Harper's 21 points were a new season high and her first 20-point game since Jan. 19, 2007 against Virginia, when she scored 21 points. It was the sixth 20-point effort of her career.
Langhorne posted her first double-double of the season, scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. It was the eighth time in nine games at least one Terp has recorded a double-double. It was Langhorne's 45th career double-double.
With her 13 boards, Langhorne now has 960 in her career, only eight behind Maryland's all-time leading rebounder, Vicky Bullett, at 968.
Junior guard Kristi Toliver's four assists put her at 376 in her career, only five away from moving into 10th place all-time at Maryland. Toliver's 20 points leave her only 23 shy of 1,000 for her career.
With the victory, the Terps are now 7-0 all-time against the Panthers. It was the first meeting between the two schools since 1982.
The Terps are now an impressive 46-14 all-time against teams currently in the Big East.
Langhorne made her first start of the season since the Oklahoma victory on Nov. 11. It was Langhorne's second start of the season, overall.
