Maryland Men's Tennis Downs Cornell, 4-3

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Terrapins men's tennis team finished out a successful weekend at home with a 4-3 non-conference win over Cornell (6-2) on Sunday. The Terps (8-2) also defeated Delaware 7-0 on Saturday.
With the No. 56-ranked Terrapins up 3-2, sophomore Boris Fetbroyt secured the exciting win by defeating Jonathan Fife 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Maryland also won the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Nicolas Frassyinoux and Andrew Orban paired at No. 2 and downed Dan Brous and Rory Heggie, 8-4. Louis-Xavier Lavallee and Nickolai Nielsen played at No. 3 and defeated Kyle Doppelt and Marc Asch, 8-4.
Orban also defeated Brous 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position. Freshman David Kwon playing at No. 2, defeated Josh Raff 6-4, 6-4.
Cornell's Nick Brunner won over Frassynioux 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, Heggie defeated Nielsen 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 4 position, and Peter Kung overcame Lavallee 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6.
Next up, Maryland will face off against the UMBC Retrievers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will be at the Tennis Center at College Park. Admission is free.
