Terps Pro Football Timing Day Set For Wednesday

March 12, 2007

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Twelve former University of Maryland football players will put their talents on display Wednesday for NFL scouts at the annual Pro Timing Day.

Those with professional playing aspirations include DL Conrad Bolston, OL Stephon Heyer, QB Sam Hollenbach, LB David Holloway, P Adam Podlesh and CB Josh Wilson.

All six of those student-athletes played in postseason all-star games, with Heyer, Podlesh and Wilson earning invitations to last month's NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Ind.

Joining that group will be RB Josh Allen, RB T.D. Callahan, PK Dan Ennis, RB J.P. Humber, DB Marcus Wimbush and WR Danny Melendez, who completed his eligibility in 2005.

Over the course of three hours, the former Terps will demonstrate their prowess in a number of drills including the vertical jump, broad jump, bench press, 60-yard shuttle and 40-yard dash.

Last season, representatives from 25 professional teams ran 11 Terps through a variety of drills.

Pro Timing Day is closed to the general public.
