COLLEGE PARK, Md. -On Monday night, the Maryland women's basketball team officially ended the 2006-07 season with the annual team banquet, held at the Greenbelt Martins' Crosswinds. ESPN TV analyst and Hall of Famer Nancy Liberman served as emcee at the event, which also honored the Terps' two seniors - Shay Doron and Aurelie Noirez.

Family, friends, staff members, and fans, including numerous members of the Rebounders support group, attended the banquet, which celebrated the 2006-07 campaign. Several Terrapins were recognized for their personal achievements.

Tri-captains Shay Doron (Ramat Hasharon, Israel/Christ the King [N.Y.]), junior Crystal Langhorne (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) and Aurelie Noirez (Vandoeuvre, France/Lycée François Arago) each earned the team's academic award. Doron and Langhorne were Academic All-Americans, while Noirez has been on the ACC Honor Roll every year.

Noirez went on to receive two more awards - the Hustle Award and TERP Award, which is presented to the player who best represents what it means to be a student-athlete, on and off the court.

Redshirt sophomore Christie Marrone (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. John Villa Academy) was presented with the Utility Award, and freshman Emery Wallace (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) and team manager Brittney Renehan were honored with the team's Courage Award. Both Wallace and Renehan had to endure multiple surgeries, but continued to remain high spirited and continued performed on the court, on the bench and in the classroom.

Langhorne was recognized for achieving a school- and ACC-record 70.7 percent field goal shooting percentage, leading the country in the category for the second-straight year. She was 1.7 percent away from breaking the NCAA record.

The final award of the evening, the Career Achievement honor, was presented to Doron. Doron's name can be spotted all over the Maryland record books. She leaves College Park ranked second all-time in career scoring (1,878). She also owns career marks for free throws made, attempted and field goals attempted, while also ranking in the top 15 in free throw percentage, assists, steals, three-point field goals made, attempted and three-point percentage. She also owns single-game records for free throws made (23), set in her first-collegiate game. The mark also ties an NCAA record. A three-time All-ACC honoree, Doron played the most games of any Terp in school history, while also starting the most games. She was the first top recruit to commit to head coach Brenda Frese and the University of Maryland five years ago.

Members of the Rebounders presented the seniors with their scrapbooks, which commemorates each of their careers in College Park.

The coaching staff and players also presented Director of Basketball Operations Mark Pearson with gifts of appreciation. Pearson came to College Park with Frese from Minnesota and decided to resign from his position and will not return for the 2007-08 campaign.

The evening concluded with remarks by each of the seniors and a season highlight video.
