Head Coach Brenda Frese
On the game:
"I thought we obviously showed that it was an exhibition game today. That's a great thing to be able to have, especially when you have a lineup that we have. We wanted to get a lot of our newcomers in, but I thought we were able to do a tremendous job the second half. I really liked to see the combinations that we had, the intensity from the defensive end. I just thought we made a great improvement in the second half. Now the challenge is to come out next Friday, and be ready and be prepared from the tip."
On it being a close game:
"I hate the exhibition games that are a 40-point blowout and you're not able to learn anything from it. So definitely I thought that with the timing and score of the game we were very poised, and we were able to do some positive things."
On former Terp and DT III team member Kalika France:
"I thought she played extremely well. She did a really good job of exposing our defense with her dribble penetration. It looks like she is in really good shape, and it's really good for us, because that is the type of skill and effort that we are going to play against."
On Anjale Barrett:
"She brings great energy, and I like that about her, she is never satisfied, and she constantly wants to be coached and critiqued, and she just sets the bar really high for herself. You know Anjale has worked really hard to come back from her rehab, and obviously I like that fact that it gives us another off ball handling guard, her ability to break people down and attack the rim, she really did a great job of being able to find [Kristi Toliver] and Marissa [Coleman] on the perimeter for really easy shots. I like that we don't have to have [Kristi] always find people, now she can do what she does best."
Senior Guard Kristi Toliver
On DT III:
"I think they got better as the game went on. I thought we had a great start, and it was a matter of trying to build off the start that we had. I think throughout the game we kind of got a little lazy since it was the first exhibition game, but I think we understand the concept of getting down the floor. We work on that in practice every day, and I think we do a great job with the ball which is huge for us."
